William Harrion High School

Welcome class of '88!

Harrison High

Greetings Harrison High School Class of '88... was it really 20 years ago that we were walking the halls of HHS? Hard to believe, isn't it? So many fond (and funny) memories fill our minds as we think back to our days at good old HHS - prom, spring break, Friday night football games, graduation parties, painting the barn, the clothes we wore and the cars we drove (and, yes, gas was less than a dollar a gallon back then). Well, we reunited the weekend of August 22nd with old friends and fellow classmates and reminisced about our high school years.

The celebration of the 20-year anniversary of our graduation kicked off with a Friday night football game.  We had 90 in attendance and cheered on the Raiders as they beat Westfield.  After the game, we met at Preston's for appetizers and drinks.  On Saturday, we met at Happy Hollow Park and everyone brought their kids.  There were close to 150 adults and little ones running around on a very hot summer day.  That evening was the big celebration.  We congregated at the Shively Club on the third floor of Purdue's Press Box.  It was a great view of Ross-Ade Stadium and, with the bar open, the view got better and better throughout the evening!  In a friendly competition, Joe DeHaai traveled the furthest (coming from England), Billy Spitznagle won for being married the longest - 17 years and Susan (Pierce) Bundy and Heidi (Bowen) Murray won in a tie for having the most children - each has five!  Each of these individuals went home with gift cards.  We enjoyed a buffet dinner while 80's music played in the background and Henry Lee Summer went on at 9:00 p.m. and played a fantastic two-hour set  of his songs and covers that we all know.   The crowd danced and sang along the entire time.  Please click on Reunion for pictures!  Can't wait to see you at our next reunion... whenever it may be!
